Our expert panel will explore practical strategies for supporting mental wellbeing in our community. Drawing on their diverse professional and lived experiences, panelists will discuss the value of an increased focus on preventative approaches in the design, delivery and evaluation of services that impact people’s mental health.
Panelists include:
- Professor Ian Hickie AO: Professor of Psychiatry and Co-Director of Health and Policy, Brain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney
- Dr Mad Magladry: Deputy CEO and Advocacy Manager at Consumers of Mental Health WA. Mad offers expertise in representing the interests of mental health consumers and driving systemic change.
- Hayley Harris: Passionate mental health advocate and Lived Experience Lead with The Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (MIFA). Hayley draws on her own experiences to amplify the voices of people with mental health challenges and her knowledge of the community services sector.
- Nathan Barton: Psychologist, former Army Reserves Captain, and Director of Kinship Psychology Services. Nathan brings insights from his work with veterans, families and individuals facing mental health challenges.
